2008-2009 year has been a flyer! The success of the Cluster throughout this year has lead to a call from industry to spread beyond the Waikato region. This is a measure of success and an outstanding opportunity for the aviation sector. It has always been the goal that the National aviation sector would unite to build capacity and capability. We are heading down this path now with the Cluster changing its name to Aviation Industry Cluster, or AIC. Now with 55 members, of which 17 are outside the Waikato Region, and major contributors, the Cluster’s advisory board has needed to expand its horizons. The result is the recruitment of Gordon Luke from Oceania / Aeromotive based in Ardmore, Auckland, to join the advisory board.
